Common Questions
Where are my exported files? By default, exports are saved to the app's local storage on your device. You can find them in the Files app under On My iPhone > Vitadatum > HealthExports. You can also choose a custom folder (like iCloud Drive) in Settings.
Why does the app need access to all health data types? Vitadatum requests read access to all available types so you can export your complete health history. You can disable categories you don't need in Settings > Export Categories.
How do I restore my purchase? Open the app, go to Settings, and tap "Restore Purchases".
How Exports Work
Vitadatum uses incremental exports — each export picks up only new data since the last one.
Apple Watch sync delay — Your Watch records data continuously but only syncs to your iPhone when the phone is unlocked and in Bluetooth range. After sleeping or being away from your phone, recent Watch data may take minutes to hours to appear. An export right after unlocking may not include everything yet — the next export will catch it.
Sleep data may shift between days — Sleep sessions that cross midnight (e.g. 23:00–07:00) are attributed to the day you woke up, matching how Apple Health displays them. This is normal.
Numbers may differ slightly from Apple Health — Apple Health deduplicates overlapping samples from iPhone and Apple Watch in real time. Vitadatum includes this deduplication for key metrics (steps, distance, flights, energy), but timing differences in when data arrives can cause small temporary discrepancies that resolve on the next export.
Automatic background exports (premium) — When enabled, the app exports new data periodically in the background. iOS controls the exact timing based on battery, usage patterns, and system load.
